Vizag District Secures 8th Place in AP SSC Results
The Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh (AP), announced the Class 10th SSC results for the year, revealing some noteworthy trends. Girls have once again outperformed boys in the results released on Monday, with a pass percentage of 89.17 compared to 84.32 for boys.
In a state-wide comparison, the Parvathipuram Manyam district secured first place with a pass percentage of 87.47, while Nandyal district recorded the lowest pass percentage at 60.39.
Visakhapatnam district achieved the 8th position in the state, boasting a pass percentage of 91.15, with 25,794 out of 28,299 candidates passing the examination. Anakapalle secured the 12th position, and the Alluri Sitharama Raju district stood 9th.
Out of over 6.16 lakh students who appeared for the examination, more than 5.34 lakh candidates passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 86.69. The examinations were conducted from 18 to 30 March across 3,473 centers statewide.
While 17 schools reported a 0% pass rate, 2,803 schools celebrated a perfect 100% pass rate. The board also revealed that 69.26% of the SSC students secured first-class honors.
For those who failed to pass, supplementary examinations will be conducted from 24 May to 3 June, with online applications accepted starting Tuesday.
