Vizag Floating Bridge Set for Reopening After Expert Review

Visakhapatnam: The Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) is preparing to reopen the Vizag Beach floating bridge after conducting a thorough review.

An expert committee has been formed to evaluate the most suitable location along Beach Road for the bridge. Once the committee submits its report, the VMRDA will proceed with the reopening.

The floating bridge, initially launched on February 25, faced a temporary setback when high tides caused the T-shaped viewing point to detach.

VMRDA clarified that the viewing point was safely secured near the anchors for stability checks, debunking claims that the bridge was damaged.
