Mrs. Shimpy Kumari , the principal of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Public School, Visakhapatnam has won the most coveted ‘Outstanding Leadership – Principal of the Year ‘ Award by Global School Awards powered by EduNation TV.

With nominations poured in large numbers for the award, the judges finally selected the candidates on the basis of their exemplary work and contribution in the field of education. During the selection process, a number of steps were followed like strict scrutiny of the profiles, judging the write-up on ‘Development and changes desired in Indian Education System and lastly Interview round.

The award ceremony was held on a virtual platform due to the spike in the Covid-19 pandemic and Hon’ble Diljit Singh Rana, Member of Parliament, House of Lords, UK participated.

Speaking to Hello Vizag, Shimpy Kumari, said it’s a great honour indeed to receive a certificate signed by Diljit Singh Rana and a trophy in recognition of the award title. This award aims to identify the teachers who have demonstrated excellence in teaching different subjects, shown outstanding contribution to learners and served the community through teaching even outside formal classrooms.
