Visakhapatnam-based medical expert and Padma Shri awardee Prof. Dr Kutikuppala Surya Rao has been selected to serve as a judge for poster and oral presentations at the 66th annual conference and convocation of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (India). The Times of India
NAMSCON-2026 will be held from October 9 to 11 at SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre and SRM Institute of Science and Technology in Kattankulathur, Tamil Nadu. More than 1,000 medical professionals, researchers, academicians and healthcare experts from across India are expected to participate. The Times of India
The conference is centred on the theme “Synergy of Science and Technology in Healthcare for a Healthier Tomorrow” and will provide a platform for scientific exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration and discussions on emerging healthcare innovations. Dr Surya Rao received the Padma Shri in 2008 for his contributions to treatment and medical research. He also holds a Guinness World Record linked to AIDS and HIV scientific awareness and has received recognition from the World Health Organization for his work in preventing healthcare-associated infections.
