Workshop on Fish Marketing by NPC in Visakhapatnam
The National Productivity Council (NPC), headquartered in New Delhi and operating under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, recently conducted a national-level workshop focused on 'Best Practices in Fish Marketing System of Andhra Pradesh.
Hosted at the Dr. YVS Murty Auditorium of Andhra University, the workshop received sponsorship from both the State and Central Departments of Fisheries.
The initiative aimed to disseminate knowledge about various aspects of fish marketing, including effective strategies, initiatives, and technologies, with the goal of enhancing growth and sustainability within the fisheries sector.
Attended by over 300 participants comprising fish farmers, wholesalers, retailers, exporters, fish processors, marketing committee members, fish entrepreneurs, and subject matter experts, the workshop provided a platform for insightful discussions.
NPC, known for its research and advisory services to the fisheries department, organized this workshop to empower stakeholders with valuable insights.
Hemant Rao, NPC's Regional Director from Hyderabad, and Andhra University’s Vice-Chancellor, P.V.G.D. Prasad Reddy, graced the event as chief guests.
Both dignitaries emphasized the workshop's significance in fortifying the fisheries sector and fostering its development.
