- The 20th Rozgar Mela was conducted at the VPA Kalavani Auditorium in Visakhapatnam on September 19.
- 172 selected candidates received appointment letters during the Visakhapatnam programme.
- The candidates were selected for Group-B and Group-C positions through recruitment processes conducted by agencies including the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs).
- The event was organised locally by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), Visakhapatnam Custom House, in coordination with several central departments.
- Participating organisations included CGST, Indian Railways, Department of Posts, Income Tax, HPCL, CISF and public sector banks.
- Union Minister for Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu attended the Visakhapatnam programme and distributed appointment letters to the selected candidates.
- Visakhapatnam MP M. Sribharat and senior officials from Customs, CGST, Income Tax and South Coast Railway also attended the programme.
- At the national level, the 20th Rozgar Mela saw more than 51,000 appointment letters distributed across 45 locations.
- With this edition, the cumulative number of appointment letters issued through the Rozgar Mela initiative has reached about 12.75 lakh, according to the Press Information Bureau.
- The programme is part of the Central government’s ongoing recruitment drive aimed at filling vacancies across ministries, departments and government organisations.
