- Andhra University Engineering College grounds have been prepared for the large-scale house-patta distribution programme scheduled for September 19.
- 28,445 families are set to receive house-site pattas or conveyance deeds as part of the land regularisation exercise.
- The programme is being organised during Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to Visakhapatnam.
- Authorities have deployed extensive police security at the venue and reviewed arrangements for the programme.
- Officials have made arrangements for beneficiary galleries, parking areas, entry and exit routes, drinking water, toilets and food facilities.
- Dedicated counters are being arranged to facilitate distribution of the documents to beneficiaries.
- The regularisation covers approximately 399 acres, or 19.33 lakh square yards, of government land.
- The land involved has an estimated value of around ₹8,874 crore, according to officials.
- Beneficiaries are spread across several areas of Visakhapatnam, including Gajuwaka, Visakhapatnam East, West, Bheemunipatnam and other parts of the district.
- Officials have also been coordinating transportation and access arrangements for beneficiaries arriving from different parts of the district.
- The administration has reviewed traffic management and parking arrangements around the AU venue ahead of the event.
