An 18-year-old Agniveer aspirant from Srikakulam district died during an Army recruitment rally in Visakhapatnam on September 15.
The aspirant, identified in local reports as Ginni Seshagirirao, was from Pedanchala village in Palasa mandal.
He was participating in the physical fitness test conducted as part of the Agniveer recruitment process.
The 1.6-km running test was being conducted at RK Beach as part of the ongoing recruitment rally.
He reportedly became unwell and collapsed during the run.
Army officials provided immediate assistance and took him for medical treatment, but he could not be saved.
Police have reportedly begun an investigation into the incident.
The Visakhapatnam Agniveer recruitment rally is being conducted from September 3 to 20 for candidates from several districts of Andhra Pradesh and Yanam.
