3000 police personnel to be deployed for security arrangements in Vizag for PFR and MILAN 2022
Director General of Police (DGP), Gautam Sawang reviewed the security arrangements for the two major events that are scheduled to be held in Visakhapatnam this month. The Presidential Fleet Review (PFR) and Multinational naval exercise, MILAN.
Ships from the Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, Shipping corporation of India, the national institute of ocean technology, submarines and over 50 aircrafts will be taking part in the fleet review.
City police and ENC personnel played presentation to the DGP about the events and security arrangements for both of them. Special arrangements and measures have been taken by the police for the arrival of President for the fleet review on February 21st, 2022 and even on the day of Chief Minister and Union Ministers arrival to the city for the fleet review on February 27th,2022.
DGP mentioned that there is a need for coordination between the departments for the events to be a grand success.
It is also known that nearly 3000 police personnel will be deployed for security arrangements. CCTV cameras and sniffer dogs will be placed at Vizag airport, railway station and RTC complex.
