54 Meat Shops Seized in Vizag for Violating Regulations on Gandhi Jayanti

On Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti, the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) took strict action by seizing 54 meat shops that were operating in violation of official restrictions.

According to GVMC Veterinary Officer, Dr. Kishore, these shops remained open despite clear instructions to close for the day.

Following directives from GVMC Commissioner Dr. P. Sampath Kumar, officials conducted a series of inspections across the GVMC area.

During the inspections, they discovered that several chicken, mutton, and fish shops were operating illegally. Veterinary cases have been registered against the violators for breaching the regulations.
