Visakhapatnam: The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) has been awarded first prize in the ‘Swachh Bhagidari’ category under the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ initiative at the state level.
The prestigious award was presented by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to GVMC Commissioner P. Sampath Kumar during a ceremony held in Machilipatnam.
In a statement, Commissioner Sampath Kumar attributed this achievement to the collective efforts of Visakhapatnam’s Mayor, public representatives, citizens, and the unwavering dedication of sanitation workers.
