A blood donation camp has been organized by the CII-Young Indians Visakhapatnam chapter
On September 10, 2022, the CII-Young Indians (Yi) Visakhapatnam chapter organized a blood donation camp at Rotary Blood Bank. It was organized under the Yi's Health vertical, and approximately 50 people actively participated in this cause by donating blood. During this blood donation camp, Yi members, their friends, and their families also donated.
The need of the hour is to ensure that blood is available for the needy in time. Because timing is crucial in saving a life, the donor will also reap the benefits as new blood is produced, leading to a healthier lifestyle. The goal of this camp is to encourage members of society to make a commitment to donate blood on a regular basis.
Ms. Ananya Gopalsetty, Chair, Yi Visakhapatnam Chapter, stated to the donors that a blood donation is a true act of humanity. It costs nothing, but it saves a life. And our blood can be replaced, but not life. She also stated that we should be a reason to make someone smile, and today's donor may be a recipient tomorrow.
