Addressing Graduate Migration: Empowering Youth for Economic Growth in Visakhapatnam

The migration of graduates from Andhra Pradesh to other states in search of employment opportunities has raised significant concerns, highlighted Gedela Srinubabu, CEO of Pulsus Group.

Despite the staggering number of 5 lakh graduates passing out annually in Andhra Pradesh, an alarming 80 percent of them choose to migrate for jobs, leaving a significant gap in the local workforce.

This trend, which has seen over 50 lakh graduates leaving the state in the past 12 years, underscores the urgent need to address the root causes behind this phenomenon.

Speaking at the 'Yuva Sakthi Sadassu' event organized by the Pulsus Group at Gurajada Kalakshetram in Visakhapatnam, Dr. Srinubabu emphasized the importance of fostering sustainable employment opportunities within the region.

He stressed the need to encourage the younger generation to stay connected to their roots and contribute to the development of their home state.

Dr. Srinubabu called for concerted efforts to attract industries to the region, thereby creating more job opportunities for local residents.

He reiterated the role of youth as catalysts for change and advocated for empowering them with the necessary skills and opportunities.

Bridging the gap between academia and industry is crucial, he noted, emphasizing the importance of providing hands-on experience and integrating technology into education.

Visakhapatnam, Dr. Srinubabu highlighted, holds immense potential to emerge as an economic powerhouse. Leveraging the talent and potential of its youth is key to driving this transformation and steering the state towards sustainable economic growth.

By focusing on areas such as digital marketing and artificial intelligence, participants at the event were given insights into the digital revolution and the opportunities it presents.

In a rapidly evolving world, adaptability is essential for success, Dr. Srinubabu emphasized. Encouraging the youth to embrace emerging technologies and innovate will not only drive individual progress but also contribute to the overall economic advancement of Visakhapatnam and Andhra Pradesh as a whole.
