Andhra University and the Rotary Institute are organizing a marathon on December 11



The Andhra University and Rotary Institute are organizing a marathon that consists of a 10K and 5K run on December 11 at Beach Road. The marathon will flag off at 6 a.m. from Kalimata temple on Beach Road, and the runners will complete their run by returning to the Kalimata temple.

 


Andhra University Vice Chancellor P.V.G.D. Prasad Reddy said that the purpose of this run was to create awareness about education and women's empowerment among the people. Apart from citizens, AU's NSS and NCC cadre and other volunteers will also take part in the run.

Rotary Institute chairman Ch. Kishore Kumar stated that a three-day international rotary conference will be held on December 9, which will see the participation of 1,000 members. Jennifer Jones, Rotary International's first female president, will also join this conference.
