Art Exhibition in Visakhapatnam Chronicles the Struggles of War-Torn Palestinians

A two-day art exhibition, organized by the Andhra University Fine Arts Students Club, unfolded at the Alluri Sitaramaraju Jana Vignana Kendra in Daba Gardens on Monday.

The event, inaugurated by Uttarandhra Development Forum Secretary Aja Sharma and former AU Fine Arts Department Professor Sudhakar Reddy, aimed to shed light on the challenges faced by the war-torn Palestinians.

In his inaugural address, Professor Sudhakar Reddy emphasized the significance of such exhibitions in providing a platform for students to showcase their talents.

He expressed the belief that these events facilitate valuable interactions with the public, fostering the exchange of ideas and encouragement. Professor Reddy encouraged both students and the general public to actively participate in and support such exhibitions.

Aja Sharma, Secretary of the Uttarandhra Development Forum, underscored the exhibition's focus on depicting the plight of war-torn Palestinians.

He commended the students for vividly portraying the various aspects of life in Palestine post-war, providing a unique perspective on the challenges faced by its people.

N. Ajay, the leader of the student club, announced that the exhibition would be open for two days and potentially extended based on public response.

Approximately 40 artworks from Fine Arts Department students of different years were on display, showcasing their diverse talents. The club regularly organizes such events to encourage and promote artistic expression among students.

G. Renuka, a third-year Fine Arts student, shared her joy at exhibiting her artworks on a public platform for the first time.

She highlighted the importance of interacting with the audience, gathering advice, and receiving feedback to further refine her artistic skills.

K. Saranya, another student, emphasized the exhibition's varied themes, particularly focusing on the challenging situation faced by the people in war-torn Palestine.

Saranya expressed the intention to present scenes not only witnessed through photographs and videos on news and social media but to convey them uniquely through their artistic creations.
