ASR District's Winter Chill Continues
In Visakhapatnam, ASR district, the cold conditions persist with temperatures dropping below 8°C for the third consecutive day.
Chintapalle recorded 7.6°C on Thursday morning, marking the second-lowest temperature for February in the season. Other parts of the district also experienced temperatures below 7°C.
Impact on Plant Life
Officials at RARS noted that temperature fluctuations have adversely affected the flowering of exotic plants in Chintapalle and Lambasingi villages, where experimental cultivation is ongoing.
Forecast and Outlook
Officials from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) located in Amaravati have made forecasts indicating an impending increase in temperatures.
This projection stems from the observation that the trough, which previously contributed to the prevailing cold conditions in the area, has now shifted westward. As a result of this shift, the prevailing weather patterns are anticipated to lead to a rise in temperatures in the near future.
