Bhavesh Jain of Vizag is named the State's Best NSS Volunteer
Bhavesh Jain, a 22-year-old volunteer from Vizag, received the "State Best NSS Volunteer" award on the eve of NSS Day. On September 24, the State NSS cell of Andhra Pradesh hosted an award ceremony at Krishna University in Machilipatnam. He is the only student from the City of Destiny to receive this prestigious award.
The NSS Awards recognize and reward outstanding contributions to voluntary community service made by volunteers. He is one of nine volunteers honored each year out of more than 2 lakh NSS volunteers in Andhra Pradesh.
While pursuing his graduation, Bhavesh also won the best volunteer for community service. He has served as the Organizing Secretary and twice as President of Unit-7 (Gitam Institute of Management). He also won a national award in the 'Young India Challenge' at IIT Delhi and has been recognized and awarded by national marathon organizations in over 30 marathons. He is a member of several social organizations in the city and has taken part in a variety of activities through his NSS service and other volunteer work.
Bhavesh believes that "small acts multiplied by millions of people can transform the Earth into a better place to live and let live."
