On August 11, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Indira Gandhi Zoological Park (IGZP) will host a special Painting Competition and Poster Presentation to mark World Elephant Day.

We invite students from Class 1 through Postgraduate level to join in these creative events.

Painting Competition Details:

• Category 1: Class 1 to 5  

  Topic: "My Favorite Elephant"

•  Category 2: Class 6 to 10  

  Topic: "The Majestic Elephant: Guardian of the Forest"

• Category 3: Intermediate to Postgraduate  

  Topic: "Elephants as Ecosystem Engineers"

Poster Presentation Competition Details:

- Open to All Students 
  Topic: "Elephant Conservation Strategies: Global and Local Perspectives"  
  Note: Students should prepare their posters at home and present them at the Zoo Bioscope, IGZP.

Instructions for Participants:

1. Bring your own painting tools (e.g., pencils, crayons, sketching materials, pastels, and watercolors).
2. Painting sheets will be provided.
3. Remember to carry your own water bottle; snacks will be available.

Dr. Nandani Salaria, IFS, Curator at IGZP, encourages all students to take part in these exciting events. Every participant will receive a certificate of participation.
