- The Chief Minister will take part in the cleanliness drive at Beach Road/RK Beach during his Visakhapatnam visit on September 19.

- The CM is also scheduled to interact with sanitation staff during the programme.
- The Nirmal Sagar pilot project is planned to focus on beach cleaning and marine-waste recycling.
- The initiative also aims to explore livelihood opportunities connected with marine-waste management.
- GVMC has intensified sanitation and beautification work along RK Beach and Beach Road ahead of the visit.
- Officials have been instructed to maintain clean roads and footpaths, repair potholes, improve markings and enhance the appearance of the beach area.
- Traffic restrictions are also planned around the Andhra University area because of the expected gathering for the CM’s programmes.
- The wider September 19 programme also includes distribution of house-site pattas and conveyance deeds to 26,426 beneficiaries across seven Assembly constituencies.
