Concrete Plastering Fallsat ‘Kesha Kandanasala’ in Simhachalam Temple: Fortunately No Injuries

In a minor mishap at the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Simhachalam, chunks of concrete plastering dislodged from the ceiling of the 'Kesha Kandanasala' (tonsuring hall) and fell to the floor.

Fortunately, the incident, which occurred on Friday, did not result in any injuries as there were no devotees present inside the hall at the time.

The Kesha Kandanasala, situated on the hill, is believed to have been constructed approximately 50 years ago.

The fallen plaster covered an area spanning about six feet within the hall.

It was acknowledged that had there been devotees inside, the outcome could have been far more serious.

Following the incident, Executive Officer Srinivasa Murthy and other officials inspected the site.

They decided that tonsuring activities would temporarily shift to a newly constructed building adjacent to the old one until necessary repairs are made to ensure safety.
