Customs Official and Cargo Agent Arrested for Bribery in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) arrested Y.Srinivasu, a customs superintendent at Kakinada Port, and Pantham Bharat Kumar, a representative of Sri Chandra Bulk Cargo Services Pvt Ltd, for alleged bribery.
As per a CBI release, both were apprehended on Saturday during a bribe transaction. The CBI seized Rs 3.18 lakh from Srinivasu, which he had reportedly accepted in exchange for offering undue favours to the cargo company and other parties.
