Development Plans for King George Hospital

MLA Vamsi Krishna Srinivas Yadav Pledges Support for KGH Enhancements

Visakhapatnam: Ch Vamsi Krishna Srinivas Yadav, the MLA of Visakhapatnam South Constituency, has committed to enhancing the facilities at King George Hospital (KGH).

During the inauguration of a new patient assistant waiting room at the hospital on Thursday, the MLA emphasized the importance of upgrading the hospital's infrastructure.

The new waiting room, funded with Rs 15 lakh from hospital development funds, marks a significant improvement for KGH, a major healthcare center for the people of North Andhra, especially Visakhapatnam.

The hospital caters not only to local residents but also to poor patients from neighboring districts who seek treatment here.

Highlighting the need for further development, MLA Vamsi Krishna announced that a water plant would soon be installed in the waiting hall with the help of donors. He also mentioned plans to build additional rooms for patient assistants.

During his visit, the MLA toured the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and engaged with the doctors to discuss the current facilities. KGH Superintendent P. Sivananda noted that previously, assistants of patients in the NICU had to wait outside the hospital.

The new waiting room can accommodate about 100 attendants, allowing them to respond quickly when called by the doctors.

The event was attended by G. Butchi Raju, Principal of Andhra Medical College, KGH Deputy Superintendent Vani, APMSIDC Executive Engineer D. Atchannaidu, AD Srinivas, and other medical staff.
