DWCRA Women Tasked with Organizing Public 'Sabhas' for Grassroots Engagement

In a significant move to enhance grassroots governance and public participation, DWCRA (Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas) women have been entrusted with the responsibility of organizing public 'sabhas' across various regions. The initiative aims to strengthen community involvement in decision-making processes and address local developmental issues effectively.

These public 'sabhas' will serve as platforms for villagers to voice their concerns, discuss developmental projects, and interact directly with officials. By involving DWCRA women in the process, the government seeks to empower them further while leveraging their organizational skills and deep connections within their communities.

DWCRA women have been lauded for their active role in self-help groups and rural development initiatives, making them ideal candidates to lead such efforts. Their participation is expected to ensure better representation of women and marginalized groups in the discussions, fostering inclusivity and equity in decision-making.

Officials have emphasized that these public meetings will focus on key issues such as sanitation, education, healthcare, and rural infrastructure. DWCRA women will act as facilitators, ensuring that discussions remain focused and productive while also coordinating follow-up actions with the concerned authorities.

This initiative not only enhances governance at the village level but also aligns with the broader goal of women’s empowerment. By entrusting DWCRA women with such responsibilities, the government aims to demonstrate how women's leadership can drive meaningful change in rural areas.
