Evaluation Process Underway for Intermediate Exam Papers

The evaluation of intermediate answer scripts has kicked off across 25 districts, marking a significant step in the education sector's assessment efforts.

Principal Secretary of School Education, Praveen Prakash, disclosed that approximately 23,000 evaluators are actively engaged in this process, which is slated to run until April 4th.

With each evaluator assigned to assess 30 answer scripts daily, the collective endeavor aims to review around 60 lakh answer papers.

Concurrently, the Class X examinations are progressing smoothly across 3,473 examination centers under vigilant supervision.

Prakash emphasized the deployment of an equal number of chief superintendents and departmental officers to ensure a standardized and impartial examination environment.

Speaking to the infrastructural enhancements at examination centers, Prakash highlighted the provision of essential amenities.

These include 100% bench seating, RO plants for potable water, upgraded restroom facilities, as well as the installation of tube lights, fans, air coolers, and air conditioners in select centers.

For accommodating the 725,618 students registered for the SSC March 2024 examinations, a total of 30,234 rooms have been arranged.

Furthermore, a robust surveillance mechanism comprising 35,119 invigilators, along with 156 flying squads and 682 sitting squads, is in place to closely monitor the proceedings, particularly at 130 identified sensitive centers, ensuring the integrity of the examinations.
