In a tragic turn of events, a 20-year-old B.Tech. second-year student was discovered to have ended his life by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in the Akkayyapalem area of Visakhapatnam.

The distressing incident came to light on Monday after the police initiated an investigation upon receiving the report.

According to the authorities, the young man took this drastic action while he was alone at home. Initial findings suggest that he may have been grappling with depression, possibly triggered by failing an examination. 

This suspicion sheds light on the immense pressure and mental health challenges that many students face, particularly in academic environments.

The IV Town police have swiftly registered a case and commenced further investigation into the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking event.
