Experts Highlight Intelligence Gaps and Recommend Cautious Approach in Bangladesh Crisis

Visakhapatnam: Experts at a recent seminar hosted by the Centre for Policy Studies and the Visakhapatnam Public Library have noted that there were challenges in predicting the recent crisis in Bangladesh.

They suggest that India should proceed with caution in the upcoming months as it works to better understand the evolving situation in its neighboring country.

The recent upheaval and sudden leadership changes in Bangladesh place India in a sensitive position with its neighbors.

Commodore (Retd) C. Uday Bhaskar, Director of the Society for Policy Studies in New Delhi, recommended that India take this opportunity to reassess and refine its neighborhood strategy.

He emphasized the importance of developing its own political, economic, and military strengths to become a more influential regional presence.

Commodore Bhaskar and senior journalist K.V. Prasad discussed these insights at the seminar on "India and the Evolving Global Strategic Framework," which took place on Thursday.

Their reflections highlighted the need for India to adapt its approach in response to the current regional dynamics.
