Visakhapatnam: The three-day Pediatric Cardiac Surgical Camp, organized by Andhra Hospitals in collaboration with Healing Little Hearts from the UK, is set to conclude on August 7.

Over the past two days, the camp has provided seven free pediatric heart surgeries, with two additional procedures planned for the final day.

Dr. P. V. Rama Rao, Head of Children’s Services and Director of Andhra Hospitals, highlighted that while this is the first camp of its kind in Visakhapatnam, their team has a successful track record in Vijayawada, where they have partnered with Healing Little Hearts over the past nine years.

This initiative represents a significant extension of their mission to provide life-saving cardiac care to children in need.

The medical team involved in the camp includes Dr. Vikram, Pediatric Cardiologist; Dr. Revanth, Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon; Dr. Subramanyam, Consultant Cardiac Anaesthetist; Dr. Ramesh, Pediatric Cardiac Anaesthetist; Dr. Revanth, Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist; and Dr. Muralikrishna, Consultant Pediatrician.

Their combined expertise is ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care throughout the event.
