'General Hospital' Actor Johnny Wactor Shot Dead During Robbery Attempt



Los Angeles: Actor Johnny Wactor, renowned for his role in the long-running television series "General Hospital," was tragically shot dead on Saturday morning in Los Angeles. The 37-year-old actor was targeted by thieves attempting to steal a catalytic converter from his car.

The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. at the intersection of West Pico Boulevard and South Hope Street in downtown LA. Wactor and a colleague were returning to his vehicle when they encountered three masked individuals in the act of theft. Despite not resisting, Wactor was shot by one of the suspects, who subsequently fled the scene in a vehicle.

Wactor's mother, Scarlett, and the police provided further details about the tragic event. Scarlett recounted to NBC that her son had been working as a bartender at a nearby rooftop venue. After assisting with a thorough cleanup following the last call, he left with three co-workers.

As they parted ways to head to their respective vehicles, Wactor and one colleague proceeded to his car.


Upon discovering his car jacked up, Wactor initially believed it was being towed due to parking on an unfamiliar street. As he approached the thieves to inquire, one of the masked men shot him and escaped. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, Wactor succumbed to his injuries.

TMZ reported that Wactor's mother expressed her heartbreak over the loss of her son and emphasized his kind-hearted nature. She described the circumstances of the incident, highlighting his efforts to engage the suspects peacefully, only to be met with violence.

The police are currently investigating the case and seeking any information that could lead to the apprehension of the suspects involved in this heinous crime. The loss of Johnny Wactor has sent shockwaves through the entertainment community and beyond, with fans and colleagues mourning the untimely death of a beloved actor.
