Green Climate NGO Launches Initiative to Plant 50 Lakh Saplings in Visakhapatnam

Green Climate, an NGO dedicated to environmental conservation, has set an ambitious target of planting 50 lakh saplings in Visakhapatnam, announced its founder J.V. Ratnam on Saturday.

This initiative aims to enhance the city's green cover and generate approximately 5,000 tons of oxygen.

As part of this effort, the NGO has already planted medicinal and flowering plants at SFS School in Seethammadhara.

The school's principal, Rev. Fr. P. Vijay Kumar, actively participated in the event, emphasizing the importance of environmental stewardship.

He urged citizens to contribute to nature conservation by planting saplings and encouraged the consumption of organic plant foods.
