In a moment of pride for the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC), their tableau clinched the coveted first prize during the Republic Day celebrations held at the police barracks ground in Visakhapatnam on Friday.
Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming public support, GVMC Commissioner CM Saikanth Varma attributed the success of all civic programs to the community's unwavering backing.
He commended the dedication and efforts of the officials and employees, acknowledging their pivotal role in achieving the prestigious first place.
As part of the celebration, Mayor G Hari Venkata Kumari, along with the commissioner, corporators, and officials, paid floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, reinforcing the commitment to civic responsibilities and commemorating the spirit of the nation.
