National Level Triumph: Young Prodigy L. Dhruvika Aaryana Clinches Victory in New Delhi at ITC Classmate All-Rounder Contest National Grand Finale



In a spectacular display of talent and intellect, L. Dhruvika Aaryana, a fifth-grader from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Public School, Vishakhapatnam, emerged victorious at the National Level Winner after a fierce competition with more than 5 lakh participants in the ITC Classmate All-Rounder Contest.

The prestigious event unfolded from January 21 to 23, 2024, with the Grand Finale at the illustrious ITC Maurya Hotel in the national capital, New Delhi.

Dhruvika Aaryana's outstanding performance secured her the coveted title, along with a generous cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh, a stunning trophy, and a gift hamper courtesy of Classmate. The competition, organized by ITC Classmate, witnessed the participation of around 5 lakh young minds from across the nation showcasing their multifaceted skills, and Dhruvika Aaryana's remarkable abilities set her apart.

The distinguished panel of judges, including Olympic bronze medalist in badminton, Saina Nehwal; National award-winning lyricist, Mr. Swanand Kirkire; International Education Director of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission, Ms. Neha Grover; Director of CBSE, Academics, Dr. Joseph Emmanuel; and Indian wrestler, Ms. Sangeeta Phogat, played a crucial role in identifying and honoring the exceptional talents of the finalists.

The journey of this competition commenced at the first level, the school level, spanning across 33 cities nationwide. The school-level competition unfolded in all schools within each city, starting in the first week of October in Vishakhapatnam. From every school, approximately 10 finalists, 5 in the junior category (grades 5 to 8) and 5 in the senior category (grades 9 to 12), qualified for the city-level contest.


At the city level, two junior category winners and two senior category winners proceeded to the national finale. This grand event unfolded from January 21 to 23, 2024, in the national capital, with the grand finale at the esteemed ITC Maurya Hotel. Spanning three days, the competition tested various skills and talents, providing a platform for fun and learning.

In Delhi, the first day kicked off with a written quiz followed by a captivating cultural night. The subsequent day began with a public speaking workshop, followed by a physical ability test. The afternoon session featured the lively Wango Tango, including origami activities and fun games, fostering teamwork and life skills. The day concluded with an impressive talent round. 
The final day, January 23,  witnessed the top 5 finalists in each category competing against each other at Hotel ITC Maurya in front of the eminent panel of judges. The intense competition comprised three rounds, starting with an on-stage quiz, followed by a talent round, and concluding with the challenging judges' question round.

From the pool of exceptional talent, two winners in each category were declared the title winners of the Classmate All-Rounder at the national level. In a remarkable feat, Dhruvika Aaryana competed with children from across the nation and despite being one of the youngest, clinched the coveted title. In addition to the main title, Dhruvika Aryana received the affectionate title of "Chota Packet Bada Dhamaka" from the audience, judges, and the host. This endearing recognition highlighted her extraordinary performance.

Her achievement brings laurels not only to the school but also to the city and state, as Dhruvika Aaryana stands as the sole representative from Andhra Pradesh to bag this prestigious title. The other winners in her category and the senior category hailed from different states, adding to the diverse and competitive nature of the contest, with participants from places such as Varanasi and Punjab.

The event not only celebrated academic excellence but also recognized the importance of holistic development in young talents.
