Visakhapatnam’s international connectivity is set to receive a significant boost as IndiGo Airlines introduces direct flights to Abu Dhabi starting June 13, 2025. This new service will operate four times a week, specifically on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, offering a convenient travel option for both business and leisure travelers.

According to the flight schedule, departures from Visakhapatnam International Airport are scheduled at 9:45 am, while return flights from Abu Dhabi will depart at 2:35 pm. This new route is expected to greatly benefit the large number of professionals, tourists, and expatriate families who frequently travel between Andhra Pradesh and the Middle East.

 

The launch of this direct service marks an important step in Visakhapatnam's growth as an emerging aviation hub. With its rapidly growing economy, thriving tourism sector, and significant Non-Resident Indian (NRI) population, improved air connectivity has been a long-standing demand from both local citizens and the business community.

Officials from IndiGo highlighted that the new route aligns with the airline’s vision of enhancing international connections from Tier-2 cities like Visakhapatnam. Passengers can now enjoy shorter travel times, hassle-free journeys, and better access to Abu Dhabi and its global connections.
