The Visakhapatnam chapter of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) recently orchestrated an engaging event aimed at cultivating a deeper appreciation for heritage among schoolchildren.

The event, titled the "INTACH Heritage Quiz 2023," unfolded at the premises of Little Angels School in MVP Colony. Drawing participation from 55 teams hailing from 21 different schools, the quiz proved to be an intellectually stimulating and competitive affair.

Following a closely contested preliminary written round, the stage was set for the final round, where four teams showcased their knowledge and prowess in the realm of heritage.

Emerging triumphant was the team representing Little Angels MVP Colony, consisting of Naitik Pawar and Sai Kirtenya. Their impressive victory earned them the esteemed opportunity to represent the district in the forthcoming state-level competition.

Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan in Pendurthi demonstrated their knowledge and dedication, securing the honorable second place. Notably, the third position resulted in a tie, with both the Little Angels Ukkunagaram team and the Sri Sathya Sai School team sharing the accolade.

The distribution of prizes and certificates to the victorious participants was conducted with grace by the Director of Little Angels School, Mr. M Kranthi Kiran.

Dr. Surendra Kumar, co-convenor of INTACH, took the opportunity to elaborate on the organization's multifaceted activities, aiming to foster a deeper connection with India's rich cultural heritage.

The quiz itself was skillfully conducted by INTACH member Sandhya Godey, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for all involved.

The success of the event was greatly attributed to the collective efforts of INTACH members who attended and organized the proceedings. Dr. M. Renuka Rani, Mayank Kumari Deo, Rekha Jain, Cdr (Retd) Ramakrishna, Smt. Ramakrishna, Smt. Mridula, Edward Paul, Mohan Rao, and Maheswar Rao all contributed to the seamless execution of the INTACH Heritage Quiz 2023. Through such events, INTACH continues to inspire the younger generation to appreciate, preserve, and celebrate the invaluable heritage of India.
