Introducing the Google Pixel 8a: Unveiling India's New Smartphone Sensation



Google has officially unveiled its long-awaited smartphone, the Pixel 8a, in India and worldwide. This latest addition to Google's 'A' series boasts the cutting-edge Tensor G3 chipset, promising seven years of OS updates, seamless integration of Gemini AI, and an array of advanced AI features.

Price and Availability:
The Pixel 8a is priced at ₹52,999 for the 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant and ₹59,999 for the 8GB RAM/256GB storage variant in India.

It's now available for pre-order on Flipkart, with sales starting at 6:30 AM on May 14.

Google offers a ₹4,000 instant discount for SBI Bank Credit Card payments, along with No-Cost EMI options and a ₹9,000 exchange bonus for selected devices.

Pre-order customers will also have the opportunity to purchase the Pixel Buds A series for just ₹999.


Specifications:
The Pixel 8a features a 6.1-inch Full HD+ OLED HDR display with a 120Hz refresh rate, boasting a peak brightness of 2,000 nits and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Powered by Google's Tensor G3 chipset, the Pixel 8a supports up to 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Running on Android 14, Google ensures seven years of OS updates and security patches, aligning with its commitment to the Pixel 8 series.

Camera and Battery:
Equipped with a dual-camera setup, the Pixel 8a sports a 64MP primary sensor with OIS and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Additionally, it features a 13MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls, capable of shooting up to 4K 60fps videos from the rear cameras and 4K 30fps from the selfie shooter.

With a robust 4,492mAh battery, the Pixel 8a supports 18W fast charging and wireless charging. Its aluminum frame, rounded edges, and IP67 rating for water and dust resistance enhance durability. The device is available in four captivating color options: Obsidian, Porcelain, Bay, and Aloe.
