Massive Cleanliness Drive Engages Volunteers Across Waltair Division

Visakhapatnam: In a bid to keep railway premises clean, the Waltair Division's environment and health management wing launched an intensive cleanliness drive.
Led by Divisional Railway Manager Saurabh Prasad, the initiative, titled ‘Swachch Parisar-Swachch Samwad,’ saw enthusiastic participation from various NGOs, including Duvvada Railway Users Association and Youth Hostels Association of India.
Volunteers focused on cleaning stations, surrounding colonies, platforms, and yards, especially targeting plastic waste. The drive covered stations like Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, and Srikakulam. Dustbins were installed for proper waste segregation, with penalties enforced for cleanliness violations.
