The city police suspect that the drug pills seized at NAD area on Monday belong to a birthday party in the city of destiny.

The police are now looking for further leads in the case. It is also discovered that an ENT specialist was also involved in the case. But according the doctor, he had just provided financial help for his friend by paying money on behalf of his friend, Hemanth.

It is already known that the city task force police seized 18 MDMA pills, two small packets of MD crystal powder, one car, three mobiles and also some amount of cash at NAD junction on Monday. The police also arrested a man, a woman and an ENT doctor from Akkayyapalem.

During the interrogation, the police got to know that the main accused, Aripaka Venkat Hemanth Kumar, who belongs to Marripalem brought drugs to the city from Hyderabad through a woman who was travelling from Hyderabad to Vizag.

Hemanth even admitted that he has links with the peddlers in Hyderabad during the interrogation. It can also be noted that all the three accused in the drugs case got bail on the same day which is actually not possible according to the NDPS Act cases.
