Meta India's new head is an alumnus of Andhra University



Sandhya Devanathan, an Andhra University alumnus has been named the new head of Meta India. Sandhya graduated from AU in the 1994-98 batch with a B.Tech in chemical engineering. During her university years, she lived with her grandparents in Pedda Waltair before moving to Delhi to pursue her MBA.

 


Sandhya will lead Meta India. Meta owns social networking platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram.

The current and retired professors and staff at Andhra University welcomed her appointment. Prof. PVGD Prasad Reddy, AU Vice-Chancellor, stated that her appointment to the position of Meta India head has made the 97-year-old Andhra University proud. He added that Sandhya's accomplishment added another jewel to the AU's crown. This news came at a time when AU has scheduled an alumni meet for December 17, 2022.
