Modi 3.0 Cabinet: Ram Mohan Naidu Set to Become Youngest Union Minister

A Meteoric Rise in Indian Politics
Srikakulam MP Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is poised to become the youngest member of the Union Cabinet under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at the age of 36. This marks his third consecutive electoral victory since his entry into politics in 2014.

Early Life and Education
Ram Mohan Naidu's political journey was significantly influenced by his father, former Union Minister K. Yerran Naidu, who himself was the youngest Cabinet Minister in 1996. Ram Mohan Naidu holds an electrical engineering degree from Purdue University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Long Island University. Initially, he aspired to build a career in Singapore. However, following his father's untimely death in a road accident in 2012, he returned to India and entered politics.

Political Career
Entering politics at 26, Ram Mohan Naidu won the Srikakulam seat in the 2014 elections, becoming the second youngest MP in the 16th Lok Sabha. His rapid ascent in politics is credited to his close association with TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu, which has been instrumental in his career.

Key Roles and Achievements
As the TDP national general secretary, Ram Mohan Naidu played a crucial role during the party's critical phases, such as when Chandrababu Naidu was arrested in the skill development scam. Alongside Nara Lokesh, he was pivotal in navigating the political landscape in Delhi, garnering support and solidarity from influential leaders.

Ram Mohan Naidu's contributions have been recognized through his membership in various Parliamentary standing committees. His exemplary performance as an MP was acknowledged with the Sansad Ratna Award in 2020.

The Oath-Taking Ceremony
The swearing-in ceremony, marking the beginning of PM Modi's third term, will be a significant event. Ram Mohan Naidu's induction into the Cabinet is expected to bring a youthful perspective to the government, continuing the legacy of his father while carving out his path in Indian politics.

As he takes on this new role, Ram Mohan Naidu's journey from a young graduate with international aspirations to becoming the youngest Union Minister is a testament to his dedication and the influential support of key political figures like N. Chandrababu Naidu.
