Visakhapatnam: Nara Lokesh, the IT and HRD Minister of Andhra Pradesh, is set to participate in the prestigious Andhra University (AU) Alumni Association’s annual meet on 7 December. The event, which will bring together alumni from across the globe, will be held at the AU Convention Centre in Visakhapatnam.

Lokesh will arrive in the city at 2:00 PM and will first visit the TDP office to interact with party leaders. Later in the evening, he will join the alumni gathering, adding a touch of significance to the much-anticipated event.

The week-long alumni meet will commence at 3:00 PM on 7 December, under the guidance of its executive committee led by founder-chairman G M Rao. This year’s event is expected to attract over 3,000 alumni members from various walks of life. The AU Alumni Association currently boasts a membership strength of 25,000, highlighting the institution’s vast and diverse network.

Prominent figures will also grace the occasion, with S N Subrahmanyam, chairman of the L&T Group, attending as the chief guest. Renowned orthopaedic surgeon Dr. S V Adinarayana Rao will be the guest of honour, underscoring the alumni’s achievements and their contributions to various fields.

The AU Alumni Association meet serves as a platform for fostering connections, celebrating achievements, and exploring opportunities for collaboration among its members. The presence of distinguished personalities like Nara Lokesh and other eminent guests is expected to inspire and motivate the attendees, reflecting the institution’s enduring legacy.
