Neerabh Kumar Prasad Appointed as New Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh
Amaravati: Neerabh Kumar Prasad has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh. He will assume charge at 11 AM at Velagapudi state sachivalayam.
Prasad’s appointment follows the leave of incumbent Chief Secretary Dr. KS Jawahar Reddy, who stepped down on Thursday due to personal reasons.
An IAS officer from the 1987 batch, Prasad previously held the position of Special Chief Secretary for Environment, Forest, Science, and Technology.
On Wednesday, Prasad paid a courtesy visit to TDP President N. Chandrababu Naidu following the electoral victory of the TDP-BJP-Jana Sena alliance.
Prasad has previously served briefly as Chief Secretary in November 2019 during the YSRCP government, while also holding the role of Chief Commissioner of Land Administration.
