New Collectors Appointed for Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli Districts

In a recent order by the State government, M.N. Harendhira Prasad, a 2015 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the new Visakhapatnam District Collector.
He will assume his duties immediately. Prasad was previously serving as the Additional Chief Electoral Officer of Andhra Pradesh and Ex-Officio Joint Secretary to the Government in the General Administration (Elections) department.
This change follows the transfer of the former Visakhapatnam District Collector, Mr. Mallikarjuna, last week. During the interim, Joint Collector Mayur Ashok had been holding the additional charge.
Additionally, Anakapalli District also sees a new appointment with the transfer of Pattanshetti Ravi Subhash. K. Vijaya, another 2015 batch IAS officer, has been named the new Collector of Anakapalli district.
