NITI Aayog’s Growth Hub Plan for Visakhapatnam Region Expected by January 2025

The Visakhapatnam region’s development plan under NITI Aayog’s Growth Hub Programme is set to be released by January 2025.

This initiative, part of the Viksit Bharat scheme, aims to support India's goal of becoming a $30 trillion economy by 2047. The programme focuses on the strategic development of key sectors such as agriculture, tourism, manufacturing, trade, commerce, and transport.

Launched by the Union Ministry of Planning, the Growth Hubs Programme targets urban growth, and Visakhapatnam has been identified as one of four pilot cities, alongside Mumbai, Surat, and Varanasi, for this transformative initiative.
