NTPC-Simhadri Partners with CIPET to Empower Parwada Youth through Skill Development

In a significant step towards enhancing employability and income prospects for unemployed youth in Parwada, NTPC-Simhadri has entered into a collaborative agreement with M/s. CIPET, Vijayawada.

This partnership, formalized on January 4, 2024, marks a crucial milestone in NTPC-Simhadri's CSR-Community Development (CSR-CD) initiatives.

The agreement emphasizes skill development training programs aimed at equipping local youth with valuable skills in Machine Operator-Injection Moulding (MO-IM) and Machine Operator-Plastics Processing (MO-PP).

These highly sought-after skills in the plastics industry will significantly improve the participants' employability and open doors to promising career opportunities.

The training program, scheduled to commence in February 2024, will comprise two batches, each accommodating 30 candidates.

The intensive 6-month residential training program reflects NTPC-Simhadri's dedication to providing comprehensive and practical skill development under its CSR-CD initiatives.

To ensure maximum participation from the Parwada community, the CIPET team is actively engaged in mobilization efforts.

Information about the training program is being disseminated through various channels, and interested candidates are encouraged to connect with the CSR-HR section of NTPC-Simhadri for further details and registration.

The signing ceremony, held on January 4, 2024, was attended by distinguished dignitaries from both NTPC-Simhadri and CIPET. Shri S K Sinha (Head of Project, Simhadri), Shri B B Patra (Head of HR), Shri K. Prakasa Rao (Manager-HR), and Shri Shivam Pratap Singh (Executive, CSR-HR) represented NTPC-Simhadri, while Dr. Ch Shekar, Joint Director & Head of CIPET-Vijayawada, led the CIPET team.

This collaborative effort signifies the unwavering commitment of both organizations to empowering the local community through skill development and enhancing the lives of Parwada residents.

By providing skill development opportunities to the youth of Parwada, NTPC-Simhadri is not only fulfilling its corporate social responsibility but also investing in the future of the community.

The MO-IM and MO-PP training programs equip participants with marketable skills, preparing them for successful careers in the plastics industry. This initiative has the potential to create a ripple effect, leading to improved livelihoods, economic growth, and a brighter future for Parwada.
