Pillion riders in Visakhapatnam must mandatorily wear helmets from October 20

Starting from October 20, Pillion riders in Visakhapatnam must wear helmets. A Rs 1000 fine will be imposed if the pillion rider does not wear a helmet.

As per Section 129 of the Motor Vehicle Act, of 1988, helmet for pillion riders is compulsory.  Visakhapatnam District Collector A.
