APSRTC Extra Charges Spur Outrage Among Passengers

The Vizianagaram Zilla Poura Vedika, led by president Bhisetti Babji, has announced a protest on July 30 at the Jonnada tollgate, located between Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam.

The demonstration aims to demand the removal of the tollgate, which has been a source of financial burden for travelers.

In a media briefing on July 25, Bhisetti Babji highlighted the public's frustration with the toll collection, which has resulted in increased costs for passengers traveling the route.

He noted that the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has begun charging extra fees, further exacerbating the issue.

Babji emphasized that a large turnout is expected, with people from various sectors coming together to voice their discontent and call for the tollgate's removal to alleviate the financial strain on commuters.
