RINL Organizes Cycle Rally to Promote Environmental Awareness

Visakhapatnam: In a concerted effort to raise environmental awareness, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) organized a bicycle rally on Sunday.

This event is part of a series of initiatives aimed at promoting environmental conservation in the lead-up to World Environment Day.

The rally, which involved over 100 children, was flagged off by RINL Director (Projects) and Director (Operations) A.K. Bagchi. He urged participants to adopt environmentally friendly practices in their daily lives.

Emphasizing the Lifestyle for Environment (LiFE) mission, Bagchi administered a pledge to the attendees, underscoring the importance of personal responsibility in environmental conservation.

Held at Trishna Grounds in association with the RINL sports department, the rally aimed to inspire children to become active change-makers in the conservation effort.

The young participants, seen as brand ambassadors of the campaign, held placards with messages such as "land restoration" and "save mother earth." The 4-kilometer rally through Ukkunagaram township served as a visual and impactful reminder to save natural resources and protect the environment.

Bagchi commended the children's enthusiastic participation, reiterating their role as pivotal advocates for RINL's environmental initiatives. At the conclusion of the rally, appreciation certificates were awarded to all participants in recognition of their commitment to the cause.

This bicycle rally exemplifies RINL’s dedication to fostering environmental awareness and encouraging sustainable practices within the community.
