Road Extension Project Initiation Near NSTL in Visakhapatnam
In an effort to improve transportation infrastructure in Visakhapatnam, Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) Commissioner C.M. Saikanth Varma has taken significant steps towards the commencement of road extension works between NSTL (Vantillu) and Kumari Function Hall.
During a recent visit to the area, Commissioner Varma instructed officials to prepare a comprehensive plan and mark the locations for the upcoming road extension project.
Accompanied by members of the Engineering Department, Commissioner Varma conducted a thorough inspection of various areas, including the stretch from Vantillu to Kumari Function Hall, Chinnamushidiwada, Ratnagiri Colony, and Sujatha Nagar.
During his visit, Commissioner Varma also assessed the progress of infrastructure development at Ratnagiri Park.
He urged officials to expedite construction work, including the completion of a walking track, installation of lighting, landscaping efforts, provision of drinking water facilities, construction of a watchman's room, installation of toilets, and the establishment of an office room. His directive was clear: all of these tasks should be accomplished by the end of the current month.
Furthermore, Commissioner Varma took note of sanitation issues in the Chinnamushidiwada and Sujatha Nagar areas. He called upon officials to address these concerns urgently and execute improvement works with the utmost priority.
In this endeavor, Commissioner Varma was joined by Zonal Commissioner Mallayya Naidu, SE Rammohan Rao, and other officials, underlining the commitment of the municipal corporation to enhance the infrastructure and living conditions in Visakhapatnam.
