The Master Blaster, renowned for his remarkable feat of participating in six 50-over World Cups during his illustrious career, will grace the opening match at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium with the Men’s Cricket World Cup Trophy, signifying the commencement of the tournament.

Reflecting on this journey, Sachin Tendulkar, who transitioned from a ball boy in 1987 to a six-time World Cup participant and a 2011 World Cup winner, expressed, "World Cups have always held a special place in my heart. Winning the 2011 World Cup was the pinnacle of my cricketing journey. 

With numerous exceptional teams and players poised to compete fiercely in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 here in India, I eagerly anticipate this remarkable tournament. This colossal Cricket World Cup will also feature a diverse group of ICC ambassadors, including West Indies legend Vivian Richards, South Africa’s AB de Villiers, England's World Cup-winning captain Eoin Morgan, Australia's Aaron Finch, Sri Lanka's spin maestro Muttiah Muralitharan, New Zealand's Ross Taylor, India's Suresh Raina, Mithali Raj, and Pakistan's versatile all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez.
