Simhachalam temple planning to move towards green



Sri Varalakshmi Narasimha Swamy Vari Devasthanam, Simhachalam is planning to replace its existing feet of diesel buses with electric ones.

The 4 buses of Devasthanam have coated about 6.6 lakh kilometres on the ghat street within the final 4 years, plying devotees from the foothills to the temple on the hill.

The ‘electrical mobility’ proposal got here within the wake of the suggestion made by the chairman of the Simhachalam temple belief board and former civil aviation minister P Ashok Gajapathi Raju.

In the meantime the Simhachalam officers made inquiries with the APSRTC officers, who’re planning to function 50 electrical buses on Tirumala-Tirupati ghat street.
