In a landmark judgment, the Visakhapatnam Special POCSO Court has sentenced prominent YouTuber Chippada Bhargav, also known as Fun Bucket Bhargav (25), to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 4,00,000 in a case involving the sexual assault of a minor girl.

The case, which shocked the city in 2021, involved Bhargav luring a 14-year-old victim to his residence under the pretext of shooting TikTok videos. The accused blackmailed the minor with nude videos he had secretly recorded of her changing clothes and subsequently sexually assaulted her multiple times. He threatened to release these videos on social media if she revealed the incidents to anyone.

The matter came to light when the victim's mother took her to the hospital due to stomach pain, where doctors revealed that the minor was four months pregnant. Following the mother's complaint, a case was registered at Pendurthi Police Station (Cr.no-205/2021) under sections 376, 354-C IPC, and Section 6 r/w 5(j)(II),(l) of the POCSO Act.

Today, Judge Sri Anandi of the Special POCSO Court, after completing the trial, pronounced the verdict sentencing Chippada Bhargav to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment. The court also ordered that the entire fine amount of Rs. 4,00,000 be paid as compensation to the victim.

City Police Commissioner Dr. Shankhabrata Bagchi, IPS, personally monitored this priority case from the investigation stage through the trial until the conviction was secured. The case was pursued rigorously by the Visakhapatnam City Police, demonstrating their commitment to ensuring justice for victims of sexual assault.
